What I Do

Put simply: I make websites. I do both website design and development, and I do work for small agencies and other freelancers, as well as work directly with small business owners and individuals. Below are just a few highlights of my work.

I Make Intelligent & Usable Designs

My designs are focused around great usability and strong conversion rates. I love to make things too good too — but that’s not all there is to it. I make sure that my designs match your brand and the overall feel you want to have for your customer base through color, layout, content, and more. There’s a lot of psychology behind design that can influence how customers or clients perceive your business, and I’m here to help you utilize that psychology.

The user experience on the web is about more than pretty colors — everything from what content is displayed on your website, to the order and layout it’s displayed in, and to the overall look of the design influence the your website’s visitors to make choices. These choices may be purchasing from your online store, making a phone call, or visiting to your blog more than once. Portray the feeling you want for your business with great design, and with a visually appealing presence.

I Create Efficient & Organized Code

I do PSD to HTML/CSS and PSD to WordPress conversions, and can create custom applications with PHP/MySQL (Codeigniter) or Ruby (Ruby on Rails). For any code that works with my designs or otherwise, my code is always organized, fast, and uses proper semantics. I pay attention to cross-browser compatibility and can code a design for a range of mobile screens and devices. I keep up to date with the latest web standards and languages, including HTML5, CSS3, and the concept of responsive web design.

If you have a web application that needs building, I can do that. If you just need a developer for a small static site, or a simple WordPress site, I can do that too. For development services, I’m happy to work directly with clients, other designers and developers, or agencies.
